We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team. HMP Brixton has recently transitioned from Cat C training prison to a Category B Remand Prison. The site is based close to Brixton underground station with good access via public transport.

This role will specifically involve working within receptions, with the new intake of patients on Saturdays. During the receptions time we offer a nurse led service, GP's will be involved in same day medications, leavers medication, acute health needs and substance misuse detox and prescribing.

Salary

This is a bank role with an hourly rate of £100.

During my GP training the part which I enjoyed the most was the out-of-hours (OOH) element with Harmoni (which later became Care UK, now the Practice Plus Group). With no administrative tasks, bloods to file, documents to check, it was as close to the acute care as a GP could get. I was very well supported by Practice Plus Group during this time and was able to excel and make a mark.
