We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team. HMP Brixton has recently transitioned from Cat C training prison to Category B Remand Prison. The site is based close to Brixton underground station with good access via public transport. Within this role you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team, gaining insight to Mental Health and Substance Misuse. As part of your role you'll attend the weekly MDT meetings, complete patients reviews and support individuals undergoing detoxification.

This position is part time working 4 hours per week per week.

Salary

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £129,500 FTE - depending on experience.

During my GP training the part which I enjoyed the most was the out-of-hours (OOH) element with Harmoni (which later became Care UK, now the Practice Plus Group). With no administrative tasks, bloods to file, documents to check, it was as close to the acute care as a GP could get. I was very well supported by Practice Plus Group during this time and was able to excel and make a mark.
