Physiotherapist

As a Physiotherapist your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Use a range of standardised assessments, outcome measures and functional assessment techniques.
• Formulate and deliver individual treatment programmes based on a sound knowledge of evidence based practice using clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of treatment skills.
• Be capable of providing physiotherapy to patient groups including acutely deteriorating patient, post-operative rehabilitation, complex rehabilitation, tonal management, gait sensory and balance re-education
• Be competent in providing patient education/support through health promotion, prescription of equipment, functional programmes, activity analysis, and grading of activity programmes, through a patient centred intervention.
• Evaluate patient progress via goal setting, reassess and alter treatment programmes if required
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive and up to date documentation in line with legal requirements.

Qualifications required: 

• Registered physiotherapist with current professional qualification (HCPC and MCSP)
• Evidence of relevant experience in neurological and general rehabilitation and Continued Professional Development
• You’ll have proven post-registration experience of assessing and treating patients with a diverse range of needs
• Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
• Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards
• Knowledge of healthcare policies and best practice
• Flexible attitude to working arrangements
  

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
