Speech & Language Therapist (part time)

As our new Speech & Language Therapist, you will: 

• Liaise and consult with other Speech and Language Therapists and/or other professions and agencies within mainstream primary and secondary provider services
• To prioritise, organise and manage a highly complex referrals on the basis of risk
• To undertake comprehensive assessment of adults referred using investigative and analytic skills and to formulate individualised interventions based on advanced clinical reasoning and partnership working
• To provide highly specialist report and recommendations to the Police and Court Services
• To provide clinical training, supervision and support to assistants, generic workers and volunteers and others as agreed with the regional and local managers.
• To work within the service multidisciplinary team advising on the management of specific Speech and Language Therapy related clinical issues, to collaborate in the development and co-ordination of team objectives and in the development of care pathways and care protocols related to the specialist area.

Qualifications and skills required:

• Recognised SALT degree 
• Registered with the HPCP
• Registered with RCSLT
• Evidence of continuous professional development
• The post holder will need a minimum of 4 years post qualification experience.
• Experience of working with service users, face to face, with a variety of health needs.  
• Experience of training other professionals
